Akcea Connect Patient Support Program!


While hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis (hATTR) is a rare disease, you are not alone. Our program is meant for anyone with hATTR that is taking PrTEGSEDI® and is enrolled in the Akcea Connect Patient Support Program.

The Akcea Connect Patient Support Program is offered by Sobi Canada to assist and support patients on TEGSEDI. Akcea Connect is proud to offer support services, like injection training and administration support, and resources about hATTR and TEGSEDI to help support you throughout your treatment journey. As part of this ongoing commitment, a Nurse Case Manager is available in Canada to provide ongoing support.

Programs offered may include

Peer Mentor Program

You can text, call or email a Peer Mentor, someone who can share lifestyle tips in addition to personal experiences related to hATTR and their treatment journey.


Comprehensive education, resources and navigation support services specific to hATTR and TEGSEDI.

Injection training & administration support

Injection training and administration support services in your home or through a specialty clinic network. Before using TEGSEDI, your healthcare provider should show you or your caregiver how to use it the right way. If you or your caregiver have any questions, ask your healthcare provider.

Blood draw & urine testing services

Offered in your home or through a specialty clinic network. Results communicated directly to your healthcare provider.

Pharmacy services

Coordination of the dispense and delivery of TEGSEDI through a dedicated pharmacy network or your preferred pharmacy.

Patient support calls

You will receive a call within 24 hours of enrolment and can request regular support calls throughout treatment. Bilingual support is also available Monday–Friday 8 AM–8 PM EST, excluding holidays, with translation services in over 200 languages.

Reimbursement navigation

Assessment of your coverage options and facilitation of payer coverage requirements.

Financial assistance

Investigation of reimbursement options and eligibility for financial assistance for you.
